Whitney Expands ProBEND
Press Brake Line
 Whitney has expanded its new line of ProBEND™ Press Brakes to include 24 models offering a variety of tonnage and size options.
The ProBEND Series features Y1/Y2 synchronized cylinders to provide 0.0004" bed parallelism and repeatability. Vertically mounted cylinders each have a linear feedback device to assure machine stability, reliability and accuracy.
Lower cost bends are accomplished through set-up reduction, the need for fewer tools, faster cycling times and a highly accurate, repeatable process.
Ease of use is built-in with the standard Delem DA51 CNC. Operators can visualize the bend on the optional DA56 graphical control and maximize production time with total control of approach speed, pressing speed and retract speed. Fade-out work can be accomplished using the highly repeatable, independent Y1 and Y2 cylinders.
A range of backgauge options are available, from an economical single x-axis gauge to a robust 6-axis gauge with 1,000 lbs of holding force.
Models are available from 65 tons to 500 tons; bed lengths range from 8’ to 16’. Options include: up to 6-axis backgauge; hydraulic tool clamping to eliminate shims and reduce set-up time; and a crowning system to assure fast repeatable bends.
